Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 leads Sunny Deol in advance bookings

Emraan Hashmi’s film ‘Awarapan 2’ has significantly outperformed Sunny Deol’s ‘Batwara 1947’ in advance ticket bookings ahead of their release during the Independence Day weekend.

According to trade reports, ‘Awarapan 2’ generated approximately 11.36 crore rupees in revenue including block seats, with over 285,000 tickets sold across 9,122 shows. The film saw strong performance in Delhi-NCR, earning 2.04 crore rupees, and Mumbai, earning 1.32 crore rupees.

In contrast, Sunny Deol’s ‘Batwara 1947’ recorded 65,391 tickets sold. Its revenue reached 4.21 crore rupees when including block seats, but stood at 1.76 crore rupees without them. While ‘Batwara 1947’ maintains a strong mass appeal, the early booking trends show a substantial lead for the ‘Awarapan 2’ sequel.
