Emrah Storaro clarifies recent celebration was traditional pre-wedding ritual
The Storaro family has clarified that recent social media footage of folk singer Emrah was not from a wedding, but rather a ‘kuna gedjesi’—a traditional pre-wedding bachelorette evening observed in certain Muslim and Roma communities in Bulgaria.
The event featured traditional rituals, including the emotional farewell of the bride, Aylan, to her relatives and the ritual hennaing of her hands. Aylan wore two distinct outfits: a white Swarovski-encrusted dress and a green taffeta gown inspired by the character Hurrem Sultan from the series ‘Magnificent Century’.
The celebration included members of the Storaro family and singer Sofi Marinova. While the official wedding is planned for October, the location remains undisclosed. The couple previously held an engagement ceremony a year ago in Podayva, Razgrad region.
