Emsdetten and Neuwied announce historical cultural tours

Various historical and cultural tours have been scheduled in Emsdetten and Neuwied.

In Emsdetten, the Verkehrsverein Emsdetten is organizing historical night watchman tours. Led by Bernard Bruch, who dresses in historical attire, these 75-minute walks explore the city's past, including the old town hall, Pankratiuskirche, and the station. The tour schedule includes dates from October 18, 2026, through March 21, 2027. Admission is 8 euros for adults and 4.80 euros for children aged 8 to 14.

In Neuwied, the Tourist-Information is hosting several activities. On October 10, a flashlight tour for children aged 6 to 14 will explore the city's history, starting from the Neuwied Castle. On October 11, guided tours will visit the Old Cemetery, established in 1783, and the dike. Additionally, market days will take place in the city center, featuring extended shopping hours on Sunday.
