Emsdetten celebrates town twinning anniversaries at city festival

The city of Emsdetten has launched its annual September festival, marked by an official barrel tapping ceremony and community celebrations. The event serves as a milestone for international relations, as it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the town twinning with Chojnice, Poland, and the 35th anniversary of the partnership with Hengelo, Netherlands.

Emsdetten Mayor Oliver Kellner welcomed attendees and expressed gratitude to the organizers and volunteers. Representatives from the partner cities also provided greetings, including Robert Waljonis, who delivered messages from Chojnice, and Mayor Sander Schelberg of Hengelo, who congratulated Kellner on his re-election and emphasized continued cooperation.
