EN8 road closure in Caldas da Rainha for 115 days

Infraestruturas de Portugal will begin works to replace the Ribeira da Palhagueira hydraulic crossing on the EN8 road near Tornada, in Caldas da Rainha. The project is intended to reinforce the drainage structure and ensure road and hydraulic safety in the area.

The intervention will result in a road closure on the EN8 between km 96+000 and 97+500, starting August 24. The estimated execution period is 115 days. To maintain traffic flow, a temporary detour will be implemented via a parallel road, which will be properly signposted. Local commuters, including school transport and logistics services, are advised to plan alternative routes.
