ENA Chad hosts 5th international colloquium on endogenous African development
The National School of Administration (ENA) in Chad concluded its 5th international colloquium in N’Djamena on October 30, 2026. The event focused on the theme of endogenous development for African states, exploring how the continent can build its future using its own natural, human, and intellectual resources.
Under the presidency of Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the gathering brought together academics, researchers, public policy specialists, and administrative officials. Discussions centered on economic sovereignty, industrialization, public governance, security, and regional cooperation. Participants emphasized that sustainable economic and institutional growth requires a shift toward utilizing internal strengths rather than relying solely on external models.
Professor Begni Bagagna presented a synthesis of the proceedings, highlighting the interconnectedness of legal, economic, and security factors in the transformation of African states. ENA Director General Dr. Mahamat Borgou Hassan and Deputy Secretary General Dr. Bourkou Dédé Alhadj also addressed the assembly, noting the importance of leveraging Africa's cultural heritage and youthful population to strengthen national capacities.
