Enac Servizi and Sapienza University sign airport internship agreement
Enac Servizi and Sapienza University of Rome have signed a three-year framework agreement to establish curricular internships within airport structures. The partnership aims to bridge academic studies with practical experience in the aviation sector.
The agreement covers a wide range of students, including those in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs, as well as non-medical specialization schools and master's degrees. These internships, which can last up to 12 months, are designed to provide hands-on knowledge of the economic and productive realities of the airport environment.
Marco Trombetti, Sole Administrator of Enac Servizi, noted that territorial airports are becoming strategic locations for training future generations in aeronautical professions. This initiative responds to significant industry projections, such as ICAO’s 2018 estimate of a need for 790,000 additional pilots by 2037 and Eurocontrol’s forecasts of substantial European air traffic growth through 2050.
