Enami promotes small-scale mining in Chile

The National Mining Company (Enami) has launched an initiative to strengthen small-scale mining in the Tocopilla and Mejillones areas of Chile's Antofagasta Region. Led by Executive Vice President Juan Carlos Sáez, the agency met with local producers, miners, and transporters to identify operational challenges and establish a roadmap for growth.

Key developments include the reactivation of a plant at Minera Los Mantos in Tocopilla, which has contributed to local employment. Additionally, Enami has provided equipment support to producers such as Lamina Omega, enabling them to expand production capacities toward a target of 10,000 tons.
