Enapter proposes Eva Katheder re-election amid Altech CERENERGY crisis

Enapter AG has proposed the re-election of Eva Katheder to its supervisory board ahead of its upcoming annual general meeting. Katheder is a known member of the supervisory board at Altech Advanced Materials AG, highlighting personnel links between the two companies.

This governance move occurs as the Altech group faces significant restructuring following its withdrawal from the CERENERGY battery project. Altech Batteries Limited, the Australian parent company, announced it would cease funding for the joint venture. Consequently, the German subsidiary, Altech Batteries GmbH, is facing insolvency and has announced plans to file for bankruptcy. The project's failure reportedly followed the refusal of a debt waiver by the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems.
