Enbridge to acquire Salt Creek Midstream crude assets for $600 million

Enbridge has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the crude oil gathering business of Salt Creek Midstream for $600 million in cash. The acquisition is intended to expand Enbridge’s footprint within the Permian Basin, specifically targeting the Delaware Basin region.

The deal includes full ownership of the Orla and Wink North gathering systems, as well as a 50% stake in the Delaware Crossing system. This adds approximately 500 miles of crude oil gathering infrastructure to Enbridge’s portfolio. The assets serve more than 20 producers and are supported by roughly 320,000 net dedicated acres under long-term commercial agreements, with an average remaining contract life of about 10 years.

Technically, the systems possess a combined throughput capacity of 420,000 barrels per day and a storage capacity of 350,000 barrels. The acquisition provides a strategic link between Permian crude production and the Ingleside Energy Center, which is North America’s largest crude export terminal. Enbridge expects the transaction to be immediately accretive to distributable cash flow and earnings per share, with the deal expected to close later in 2026.
