EnBW launches summer discount on EV charging rates

From 8 July to 30 September 2026, German energy company EnBW will reduce the price of electricity at its own electric‑vehicle charging stations by five cents per kilowatt‑hour for customers on its “EnBW mobility+” tariffs. In tariff L the price falls to 30 c/kWh from the regular 35 c/kWh, and in tariff S it drops to 51 c/kWh from 56 c/kWh, representing a discount of more than 14 percent.

The discount applies nationwide to EnBW‑operated sites only; prices at other operators, ad‑hoc rates and block‑fees remain unchanged. EnBW says the summer‑time promotion is intended to ease drivers during the travel season and to provide price stability, adding that no price increases are planned for its charging offer. The company, which operates Germany’s largest fast‑charging network and is expanding its “HyperNetz” of over 900,000 points across Europe, aims to increase the share of fast chargers in the country.

Lars Jacobs, chief commercial officer for E‑Mobility at EnBW, highlighted the company’s proactive pricing strategy and its goal to give customers predictable, affordable charging.
