Spanish municipalities launch heritage and infrastructure projects

Various Spanish municipalities are implementing local development and preservation projects. In Manilva, a Master Plan has been established for the integral recovery of the Castillo de Sabinillas to ensure its conservation and heritage value. Similarly, Benalmádena has opened a tender for the restoration of Torre Bermeja, a 13th-14th century Nasrid defensive tower, with an investment of 375,000 euros supported by regional grants.

Infrastructure improvements are also underway, including a one-million-euro asphalt plan in Torrox and a 2.2-million-euro rescue plan for transport service centers in Extremadura following contract terminations. In the energy sector, Iberdrola is investing over 10 million euros in the Ribera region to renew electrical infrastructure damaged by recent weather events.

Other regional news includes the proposal of an economic emergency for the tourism sector in Colón, Argentina, due to climate and economic pressures, and a proposed tourism alert system in Puebla, Mexico, to improve traveler safety. In Galicia, discussions continue regarding the reactivation of the Peinador airport through institutional pacts.
