ENCC and Ferrovial partner to manufacture mining wagons in Algeria

The Entreprise Nationale des Charpentes et Chaudronneries (ENCC) and the Ferrovial group have signed a strategic framework agreement to manufacture specialized mining freight wagons in Algeria. The partnership aims to combine technical expertise and production capacities to support the country's national roadmap for railway equipment development and the valuation of strategic mineral resources.

A primary objective of this collaboration is to achieve a national integration rate exceeding 70%, which is intended to reduce dependence on imported specialized railway equipment. The manufactured wagons will be primarily used to support the logistics and transport chain for phosphate, a key strategic resource for the Algerian economy.
