Encceja 2026 exams held across Brazil this Sunday
The National Exam for Certification of Youth and Adult Competencies (Encceja) 2026 is being administered this Sunday, August 23, across all Brazilian states and the Federal District. The exam, managed by the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), is a free program designed for young people and adults seeking to certify their elementary or high school education.
Participants are advised to verify their specific testing locations via the Inep Participant Page using a Gov.br account or through the Inep service center at 0800 616161. Testing occurs in two shifts: the morning session runs from 9:00 to 13:00, and the afternoon session runs from 15:30 to 20:30 (Brasília time).
Candidates must present an original official photo ID (physical or digital via official apps) and a black ink ballpoint pen made of transparent material. Electronic devices must remain turned off and stored in a sealed, identified object bag under the desk. The exam consists of objective tests and an essay covering various subject areas including mathematics, sciences, languages, and humanities.
