Encceja 2026 exams to be held this Sunday across Brazil
The National Exam for Youth and Adult Competency Certification (Encceja) will be administered this Sunday, August 23, across all Brazilian states and the Federal District. Organized by the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), the free exam allows eligible participants to obtain certification for elementary or high school completion.
Candidates can consult their specific testing locations via the Inep Participant Page using Gov.br credentials. The exam is divided into two shifts following Brasília time: the morning session runs from 9:00 to 13:00 (with gates closing at 8:45), and the afternoon session runs from 15:30 to 20:30 (with gates closing at 15:15).
Essential requirements for test day include a valid identification document and a black ballpoint pen made of transparent material. For elementary school certification, candidates will face four objective tests and an essay. High school candidates will be evaluated on subjects including natural sciences, mathematics, languages, human sciences, and an essay.
