Enchanted Forest wins B.C. Interior roadside attraction finals
The Enchanted Forest, a long-standing attraction located near Malakwa west of Revelstoke, has won the Interior finals of the CBC ‘Search for B.C.’s best roadside attraction’ series. The fairytale-themed forest walkway and the adjacent SkyTrek Adventure Park secured the win after a close public vote on August 19, defeating Keremeos’ fruit stands with 50.54 per cent of the vote.
Having emerged victorious against competitors including Three Valley Gap and Sparwood’s giant truck, the Enchanted Forest will now advance to the quarterfinals. In the next round, it will represent the Interior region in a competition against Barkerville Historic Town & Park. The winner of that matchup will move toward the semifinals to compete against either Cathedral Grove or the Othello Tunnels for the title of the province's top roadside attraction.
