enclaive launches quantum‑resistant confidential computing platform

enclaive, a provider of confidential‑computing solutions, announced a new offering that combines secure execution environments with post‑quantum encryption. The technology is designed to protect applications, databases and AI models against both current and future cryptographic threats, including those posed by emerging quantum computers.

Prof. Dr. Sebastian Gajek, CTO and co‑founder of enclaive, said the dual approach is essential because “confidential computing is only truly confidential when the encrypted execution environment is post‑quantum‑secure.” He highlighted the risk of a so‑called “Q‑Day” when conventional algorithms like RSA or ECC could be broken.

The announcement references recent standards and guidance: the U.S. NIST post‑quantum standards, the European NIS cooperation group’s roadmap, and Germany’s BSI recommendation that highly sensitive applications adopt post‑quantum cryptography by the end of 2030, with the DSA signature scheme slated for retirement in 2029.
