End2End cycling relay raises over $300,000 for cancer charity

The second annual End2End cycling relay has raised a final total of $301,686 for the Island Kids Cancer Association (IKCA). This amount nearly triples the $110,000 raised during the inaugural event in 2025.

The relay involved nine cyclists traveling non-stop over a 1,000-kilometre route from Victoria to Port Hardy and back. The riders completed the journey in approximately 47 to 48 hours, cycling in shifts of two or three people at a time.

Organizers noted that event expenses were kept to a minimum, totaling only $2,369, which was covered by specific donations. This allowed the bulk of the funds to go directly to the IKCA to support financial aid and mental health services for families facing childhood cancer on Vancouver Island.
