Siemens Energy and SAP drive corporate activity through growth and buybacks

Several major corporations are executing significant capital allocation and operational strategies. Siemens Energy reported strong growth in its third quarter of fiscal year 2026, with comparable revenue increasing 18.5 percent to 11.4 billion euros and net profit rising to 1.188 billion euros. The company has also initiated a third tranche of its share buyback program, part of a larger 6.0 billion euro initiative.

SAP is continuing its share buyback program via the Xetra platform, having repurchased 50,000 shares in mid-September, and has entered a new partnership with Colombina to enhance supply chain processes using AI. Meanwhile, Endesa has moved into the sixth tranche of its share buyback program as reported to the CNMV.

In other developments, Acciona reported a 10 percent increase in revenue to 10.142 billion euros for the first half of 2026, though its EBITDA fell by 26 percent to 1.153 billion euros due to asset rotation timing. Additionally, Norway's sovereign wealth fund issued a warning that the erosion of shareholder rights, such as voting and dividend entitlements, increases capital costs and may drive investment away from certain markets.
