Endesa invests in electrical grid reinforcements across Spain

Endesa is implementing several infrastructure projects to reinforce and modernize electrical grids in different Spanish locations.

In Bolonia, a tourist hub in Tarifa, the company’s subsidiary e-distribución will invest approximately 65,000 euros to renew nearly 1.5 kilometers of low-voltage network. The project includes replacing concrete supports and improving underground network sections to meet increased seasonal electricity demand driven by tourism and hospitality.

In Portbou, Endesa is investing 650,000 euros to improve supply quality and continuity for approximately 1,400 clients. The primary work involves constructing a 650-meter medium-voltage underground line to create an electrical ring, allowing for alternative supply routes during maintenance or faults. This project also includes modernizing two transformation centers with new maneuvering systems and remote control capabilities, which the company expects could reduce incident-related disruptions by 20%.
