Endrick praises Neymar and Ancelotti ahead of Brazil World Cup clash

Brazilian forward Endrick, 19, said he admires Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and values the guidance he received during his first season with the club. Speaking at a press briefing in New Jersey before Brazil’s round‑of‑16 match, the player noted Ancelotti’s encouragement that his “hour will come” and recalled playing regularly in the Copa del Rey.

Endrick also highlighted his close relationship with team captain Neymar, saying they “play cards” and talk after training, and stressed the importance of learning from senior teammates such as Marquinhos, Casemiro and Alisson. He mentioned the recent injury to Lucas Paquetá, which opened a potential spot for him in the lineup, and reflected on Brazil’s 2‑1 victory over Japan that secured the team’s progression to the knockout stage.

The comments came after Endrick was an unused substitute in Brazil’s 1‑1 draw with Morocco and before the upcoming game against Norway, where he could be given a start.
