Endurance athletes complete mountain marathons in Austria and Switzerland

Athletes participated in major endurance events in the Alps. At the 45th Ötztaler Radmarathon in Austria, members of the Polizeisportverein Tirol completed the 227-kilometer course. The route included over 5,000 meters of elevation gain across the Kühtai, Brenner, Jaufenpass, and Timmelsjoch passes. Notable participants included Ronald Ladner, who completed the race in 9 hours and 51 minutes, and Dominik Riedl, who finished in 7 hours and 37 minutes.

In Switzerland, the Jungfrau Marathon saw Stefan Köppe complete the 42.2-kilometer course. The race featured approximately 2,000 meters of elevation gain through rugged terrain. Köppe finished with a time of 4:56:01, navigating steep inclines and rocky sections near the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks.
