PKP CARGO secures 126 million PLN coal transport contracts

PKP CARGO, currently undergoing restructuring, has signed three agreements with Enea Wytwarzanie for the rail transport of thermal coal. The contracts involve coal sourced from the Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka mine.

The total volume of coal to be transported under these contracts is 5 million tons, with a maximum gross value exceeding 126 million PLN. The agreements are set to be implemented over a 21-month period starting from the date of signing.

According to Zbigniew Prus, CEO of PKP CARGO, these contracts strengthen the company's order portfolio and utilize its operational potential in the mass transport segment. The coal will be transported to Enea Wytwarzanie facilities in Świerże Górne, near Kozienice.

This follows previous successful contracts by PKP CARGO, including agreements with PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna for the transport of coal and limestone to various power plant locations.
