Utility companies schedule electricity outages in Honduras, Chile, Benin and Colombia on July 12‑13 2026

The Honduran electricity utility ENEE announced scheduled maintenance on July 13 2026 that will interrupt service in several sectors of Choloma, Cortés from 08:45 to 14:45. In Chile, Enel will carry out maintenance and modernization work on July 13, causing programmed cuts in multiple Santiago communes such as Ñuñoa, Maipú, La Granja, and others, with interruptions lasting up to ten hours. Benin’s electricity company SBEE warned of possible interruptions on July 14 in Cotonou and eleven other cities, with work windows generally between 10:00 and 15:00. In Colombia, Enel Colombia scheduled cuts on July 12 in Bogotá and nearby municipalities (Mosquera, Cajicá, Zipaquirá, Tocancipá), affecting specific neighborhoods and advising users to disconnect appliances. Additionally, an intense thunderstorm on the night of July 12 in Montería, Colombia caused a transformer explosion, tree falls and damage to homes, leading to unscheduled power loss in several districts.
