Enem 2026 registrations increase in Apucarana and surrounding region

Registration numbers for the 2026 National High School Exam (Enem) have seen a significant rise in the region encompassing Apucarana, Arapongas, Ivaiporã, Jandaia do Sul, and Mauá da Serra. More than 8,500 candidates are confirmed, marking a 15% increase compared to the 7,300 registrations recorded in 2025.

Apucarana leads with 2,800 registrants, an 11% increase from the previous year. Arapongas follows with 2,200 candidates, up 14%. The highest percentage growth was observed in Mauá da Serra, which saw a 26% increase.

According to educational officials, the surge is attributed to new federal guidelines that implement automatic registration for third-year public high school students. This measure prepares for the integration of Enem with the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) starting in 2027.
