ENERANDO and VDO partner for commercial vehicle charging infrastructure

ENERANDO Technologies and VDO, a brand of Aumovio, have announced a partnership to provide integrated charging infrastructure solutions for commercial vehicle fleets. Unveiled at IAA Transportation, the collaboration aims to combine charging hardware, depot operation, and digital vehicle management into a single ecosystem.

A key component of the partnership is the integration of the ENERANDO Charge Point Management System into the VDO Fleet management platform. This allows operators to manage charging points, vehicles, and drivers through a unified digital interface. The partnership addresses the complex requirements of electrifying heavy-duty fleets, such as electric trucks and buses, where charging needs must be synchronized with vehicle availability, energy demand, and grid constraints.

While Aumovio provides the charging hardware and the VDO Fleet software platform, ENERANDO contributes expertise in site analysis, grid connection testing, technical design, energy management, installation, and ongoing service. This approach targets the specific needs of logistics companies and transport operators who primarily charge vehicles overnight at depots rather than using public fast-charging stations.
