Energía de Misiones outlines $44,477 million budget for 2027

Energía de Misiones, the state-owned utility provider, has outlined its strategic priorities and budget for 2027. During the provincial budget debate, company president Julio César Barreto presented a projected budget of $44,477 million.

The majority of these funds, approximately $31,029.5 million, are earmarked for the 'Potenciar' program, which focuses on expanding system capacity to meet growing demand. Other significant allocations include social responsibility, rural electrification, and network maintenance. The company plans to modernize or repower seven transformer stations and replace 1,800 wooden poles with concrete columns.

In recent operational news, the province successfully maintained its electrical service while isolated from the national grid during maintenance work at the San Isidro Transformer Station. During this period, local generation from the Urugua-í plant, solar parks, and thermal generation reached a peak of 243 MW to ensure continuous supply.
