Energiepark A59 completes wind turbine foundations in Oosterhout

Construction of Energiepark A59 in Oosterhout, Netherlands, has reached a new milestone with the completion of foundations for two wind turbines. The project is a joint initiative between the municipality of Oosterhout and Eneco, located in the Oranjepolder area near the A59 motorway. In addition to the wind turbines, the site will include a solar park.

The turbines are being supplied by the German manufacturer Nordex, specifically the N163/6.X model. Each unit has a capacity of 6.8 MW, a hub height of 148 meters, and a tip height of 229.5 meters. A substation was installed on September 4 to collect electricity from the turbines and prepare it for transmission into the Enexis medium-voltage network.

Logistical preparations for component delivery are underway. Tower sections are expected to arrive between September 28 and October 2, primarily during nighttime hours. Rotor blades, hubs, and nacelles are scheduled to follow, with the first lifting operations planned to begin on October 29. The turbines will then be erected in phases.
