Energisa Mato Grosso removes 60 tons of irregular cables

Energisa Mato Grosso has removed 60 tons of irregular or obsolete cables from the electrical grid in Mato Grosso during 2026. This removal accounts for approximately 711 kilometers of cabling.

The regularization efforts have reached over 40,000 utility poles across various municipalities. To date, the company has conducted 89 collective actions and 12 joint operations with local governments to organize pole occupancy and improve public safety. Additionally, Energisa issued 518 notifications to telecommunications companies for cables installed in violation of occupancy standards.

In the metropolitan region of Cuiabá, Várzea Grande, and Chapada dos Guimarães, 26 tons of cables were removed. Company officials stated that the initiative aims to prevent accidents caused by loose or low-hanging wires and to facilitate maintenance work.
