Energisa offers up to 98% discount on overdue electricity bills across Brazil

The state consumer protection agency (Procon) in Campo Grande launched a mutirão on 25 May to negotiate overdue electricity accounts in partnership with utility Energisa. The campaign provides discounts of up to 98 % on interest and fines and allows repayment in up to 36 installments, with payment options such as PIX, credit or debit cards.

Energisa announced the same discount scheme for its customers in the nine states it serves, including Paraíba. The renegotiation is handled online via the Energisa On app, the company’s website or a WhatsApp service, and requires the account holder’s identification documents. Both initiatives aim to regularise debts and avoid service cuts for residential, agricultural and micro‑enterprise consumers.
