Energoinvest to appeal gas tariff dispute to Supreme Court

Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo has announced its intention to appeal a ruling by the Higher Commercial Court of Republika Srpska to the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska. The legal dispute involves natural gas transport tariffs and a contested payment of 2,200,000 KM involving Sarajevo-Gas Istočno Sarajevo.

Energoinvest director Mirza Ustamujić stated that the company will insist on the application of regulatory principles and prices approved by the competent regulator. The company maintains that the legal interpretation used in the recent ruling threatens the purpose of the regulatory system and the legal security of its users. Energoinvest intends to use all available legal means to protect its property interests and ensure consistent application of regulations for all participants in the gas transport system.
