Energy and EV technology developments expand in India
Solis, an energy storage solutions provider owned by Ginlong Technologies, has deployed its first SolisStorage EverCore battery energy storage system (ESS) at an IT data centre in Chennai, India. The project, implemented with Inforce Engineering Solutions LLP, integrates an 870 kW rooftop solar installation with a 500 kW battery storage system providing 1.04 MWh of usable energy capacity.
In a separate development in the Indian energy sector, LeSol Group has partnered with China-based Hefei Pengpai Energy Technology Co. Ltd to localize the production of electric vehicle (EV) battery management systems (BMS). The partnership aims to target the Indian two- and three-wheeler markets, with a goal of capturing 10% of the organized BMS market and producing over one million units annually within three years.
The LeSol and Pengpai collaboration will focus on technology transfer, system integration, and technical training to reduce dependence on imported components. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to strengthen domestic EV electronics production in India.
