Energy consumption strategies and Octopus Energy promotions in Italy
Energy consumers in Italy can manage electricity costs by understanding time-of-use tariffs. Electricity is typically divided into three main time slots: F1 (peak hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 19:00), and F2 and F3 (off-peak hours). Utilizing appliances like washing machines or dishwashers during off-peak periods or holidays can reduce expenses for those with dual-rate or multi-rate contracts.
Additionally, Octopus Energy has issued a deadline for its current electricity and gas promotion. The Octopus Fixed 12M offer, which allows customers to lock in raw material costs for one year, expires on September 11. The fixed rate for electricity is set at 0.1749 €/kWh, while gas is fixed at 0.79 €/Smc, both subject to monthly commercialization fees. An alternative dynamic plan, Octopus Flex, remains available with costs indexed to the energy market.
