Energy Fuels expands rare earth and uranium operations

Energy Fuels is advancing its business diversification through progress in both the rare earth elements and uranium sectors. The company’s terbium oxide has achieved commercial qualification with a Japanese permanent magnet manufacturer, opening a new Asian market and establishing the company as a supplier outside of Chinese dominance. This terbium oxide is processed at the White Mesa Mill in Utah.

In its uranium segment, the company has entered a critical permitting phase for the proposed Roca Honda mine in McKinley County, New Mexico. A 30-day public hearing has commenced following the submission of a comprehensive reclamation plan. The plan outlines an operational period of 11 years within a total 21-year project scope that includes long-term land monitoring and remediation.
