Energy Hub Alliance expands as Kiwigrid joins as strategic investor

P3 digital services, co‑founder of the Energy Hub Alliance (EHA), announced that Kiwigrid GmbH has become a strategic investor and member of the alliance. The addition brings a specialist in energy‑management systems to the partnership alongside founding members HagerEnergy and the strategic partner Vattenfall Europe Sales.

With Kiwigrid’s entry, the EHA now constitutes Europe’s largest pool of industrial energy‑connectivity, uniting more than 200 manufacturers and over 40 already‑connected industry partners. The alliance offers a hybrid edge‑to‑cloud architecture that supports virtual power plants (VPP), artificial‑intelligence‑driven optimisation, and the aggregation of decentralized assets such as home batteries, photovoltaic systems, wall‑boxes and heat pumps. The platform is aimed at utilities and municipal energy providers across the DACH region, promising reduced development costs, faster device onboarding and new revenue models for stable grid operation.
