Energy industry forums in Yantai and Chengdu focus on nuclear and hydrogen sectors

Recent industrial forums in China have focused on advancing the nuclear and hydrogen energy sectors. In Yantai, the 2026 Nuclear Energy Safety and Nuclear Power Industry Chain Innovation and Development Conference featured eight specialized sub-forums. These sessions addressed various segments of the nuclear supply chain, including radiation protection, nuclear emergency response, advanced nuclear materials, and digital intelligence for instrumentation and control. The event brought together regulatory bodies, major nuclear power groups, and academic institutions such as Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to discuss domestic substitution and technological breakthroughs.

In Chengdu, the Hi-Tech Zone hosted a specialized hydrogen energy event aimed at fostering technological innovation and industrial integration. The forum included experts from universities and representatives from leading hydrogen energy companies, such as Shudao Toyota Hydrogen Technology and Dongfang Electric. Discussions centered on hydrogen power system integration, heavy-duty truck demonstration models for the Chengdu-Chongqing hydrogen corridor, and cold chain logistics. The event served as a platform for matching technical research with capital and industrial demand to strengthen the region's new energy and new material industry clusters.
