Energy infrastructure developments expand in Poland

Frigo Logistics has expanded its photovoltaic installation at its cold storage warehouse in Radomsko, Poland. The new 510 kWp installation, which utilizes nearly 3,000 panels mounted on both the roof and vertical facades, works under a self-consumption model to power the facility and a developing robotic station. Combined with an existing 835 kWp plant, the total installation is estimated to cover approximately 35% of the facility's annual energy needs. This project was implemented in cooperation with the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).

In a separate energy development, Respect Energy has entered into an agreement with EDF Power Solutions Polska to optimize the operation of an energy storage facility in Stary Grodków. The partnership aims to maximize the asset's value by trading on the intraday, day-ahead, and balancing service markets. Respect Energy will handle commercial balancing and provide energy for the facility's own needs, leveraging its expertise in trading to integrate the storage unit more effectively into the Polish power system.
