Energy infrastructure providers debut advanced grid and network solutions

At the Middle East Energy 2026 exhibition in Dubai, Ducab Metals Business (DMB) showcased advanced High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductor solutions designed to enhance grid capacity and transmission efficiency. These technologies aim to address network bottlenecks and renewable energy curtailment by allowing utilities to increase transmission capacity within existing corridors. DMB’s solutions can potentially reduce energy transmission losses by up to 14% compared to conventional conductors.

In a related development for renewable energy infrastructure, Swiss-based R&M has expanded its network solutions specifically for wind and solar farms. The company provides cabling and connectivity systems designed to handle the extreme conditions of energy production sites, such as vibration in wind nacelles and salt air in offshore environments. R&M emphasizes the use of fiber optic cabling and Ethernet/IP-based architectures to ensure stable, real-time data flow between power plants, electricity exchanges, and utilities.
