Energy initiatives and supplier events announced in Poland
In Gdynia, the Experyment Science Centre hosted World Energy Day in collaboration with Gdynia Energetyczna. The event featured scientific demonstrations involving solar panels, hydrogen cells, and water energy. The Gdynia City Hall Energy Department also participated, offering air quality sensor testing and energy consumption demonstrations.
To support energy transitions, Gdynia offers a subsidy program for residents to replace old heating systems with modern alternatives, such as heat pumps or connections to the municipal heating network. The maximum subsidy is 30,000 PLN, capped at 50 percent of eligible costs. Additionally, specialists are available every Thursday at the CERKAdE showroom to provide free consultations on reducing energy costs and navigating heating modernization formalities.
Separately, PGE Group has announced its Supplier Day, scheduled for November 9 at the PGE Narodowy stadium in Warsaw. The event aims to engage current and potential suppliers, contractors, and technological partners. A primary focus will be the development of the domestic component and increasing the participation of Polish enterprises in energy sector investments. The meeting will cover various industries, including renewable energy, gas energy, energy storage, and cybersecurity.
