Energy leaders from BiH and Montenegro attend CIGRE forum in Paris

Representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro participated in the CIGRE 2026 Paris Session, a major international energy forum focused on energy transition and power sector regulation.

The delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Zijad Bajramović, presented solutions regarding the integration of renewable energy sources, grid digitalization, and the development of flexible power systems. Specifically, experts discussed the integration of photovoltaic power plants and methods to reduce voltage oscillations during high solar production. During the event, Ajla Merzić of BH K CIGRE received the ‘Women in Energy CIGRE 2026’ recognition.

Zdravko Dragaš, CEO of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG), attended the CIGRE CEO forum to discuss the regulatory frameworks necessary for energy transition. Dragaš emphasized that for Montenegro, transitioning to modern infrastructure and renewable energy is a matter of responsibility and long-term energy security, noting that stable regulatory environments are essential for large-scale investments.
