Energy sector developments in the Netherlands involve acquisitions and solar expansions

Energy Excellent Group has acquired Solar Centrum Nederland, a company based in Deventer specializing in solar energy systems and energy storage for the commercial market. This acquisition marks the third move in the group’s buy-and-build strategy, following previous acquisitions of Energy-IO and TEK Power. The group now consists of four specialized companies with approximately 25 employees and four locations, generating a combined turnover of about 11 million euros.

Separately, flooring manufacturer Condor Group is expanding its sustainability efforts through a partnership with Energiegilde. The project involves the installation of approximately 5,000 solar panels and an 8 megawatt-hour energy storage system. This initiative aims to support Condor’s goal of reaching 100 percent energy neutrality in electricity consumption by 2030. Currently, the group already generates half of its electricity needs through existing solar installations and green energy procurement via ENGIE.
