Energy technology advancements drive industrial and automotive shifts
Industrial and automotive sectors are increasingly adopting new energy technologies to improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprints. In Chile, the German technology Instagrid is being introduced as a portable power solution for mining and construction. The Instagrid ONE unit, weighing 20 kg, provides 3.6 kW of continuous power and can handle peak demands of up to 18 kW, offering an alternative to combustion generators for intermittent tasks like welding and demolition.
In the automotive sector, Geely Auto has developed the Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture (GEA). This modular platform integrates vehicle elements into a single ecosystem to enhance safety, efficiency, and interior space. The architecture utilizes Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, incorporating the Geely Short Blade Battery into the vehicle structure to increase rigidity and lower the center of gravity in models such as the Geely E5.
