Energy transition faces demand surge despite renewable growth

Geopolitical tensions and climate phenomena, such as El Niño, further complicate the landscape by affecting natural gas supplies and the reliability of hydroelectric and wind power. Experts emphasize that while the shift to renewables is essential, maintaining grid stability requires addressing infrastructure gaps, financial barriers, and the need for reliable energy storage to manage intermittent power sources.
