Eneva expands local supplier network and job creation in Brazil's Amazonas region

Eneva, Brazil's largest private natural gas operator, has earmarked R$191.7 million for contracts with Amazonian suppliers through 2025, representing 59 % of its total procurement in the state. The company says the move will boost regional businesses and generate lasting employment, noting that seismic exploration campaigns have already engaged more than 2,000 local workers. "We believe Eneva's presence should create shared value for the territories where we operate," said Álcio Adler, director of Operations for Eneva's Northern Region.

In parallel, the National Industrial Learning Service of Amazonas (SENAI‑AM) and the state gas utility Cigás launched a free 360‑hour training program for natural‑gas pipe installers. The inaugural class of 25 students filled all spots within a day, with over 100 additional applicants. "Our goal is to build a permanent pipeline of qualified professionals for the growing gas market," explained SENAI technical director Rafael Lobo. The course aims to support the expanding use of natural gas across the state and strengthen the local supply chain.
