ENEVO Group and Kraftfeld to build 110 MW battery storage plant in Romania
ENEVO Group and Kraftfeld have signed a contract to construct a large‑scale battery energy storage system (BESS) at Drăgănești‑Olt in Olt County, Romania. The facility will have a nominal discharge power of 110 MW and an energy capacity of 220 MWh, linked to the high‑voltage grid. Kraftfeld will act as project owner while ENEVO Group will serve as the EPC contractor, handling design, procurement and turn‑key construction of the BESS and the associated substation.
Construction is slated to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning and commercial operation planned for early 2027. The project adds to ENEVO Group’s portfolio, which now exceeds 1 GWh of stored capacity across ongoing and operational sites in Europe and the Middle East.
