Enez community holds 18th Sunset Meeting and awards ceremony

The Kartopu Enez Volunteers held their 18th traditional Sunset Meeting at Yakamoz Restaurant on the Enez coast. The event served as a ceremony to honor distinguished individuals and contributors to the region.

Honorary guest Seyfettin Çilesiz, an Honorary Member of the Court of Cassation, received a plaque from the Kartopu Association and Enez Municipality for his service as a judge in Enez between 1978 and 1982. Nail Babacan, who served as the Enez District Governor during the same period, was also honored.

Several other awards were presented to recognize local achievements:

• Ruşen Yazıcıoğlu (Yenice Village Headman) for successful local administration. • Günay Aydoğdu for contributions to local trade and the preservation of Bozırk cattle. • Aydoğan Akar for contributions to tourism via Trakyazirveturizm. • Rahim Erkenler for local investment. • Demir Kuşku for excellence in science and international competitions.

The Hudut Newspaper was also recognized for its sensitivity to local issues. The event concluded with celebrations.
