Enfermeira Rejane Launches Pre‑Candidacy, Advances Nursing Training in Volta Redonda

Federal deputy Enfermeira Rejane announced her pre‑candidacy for office in Volta Redonda on 24 July, holding a public gathering in the Aterrado neighbourhood that drew residents from Volta Redonda and nearby towns such as Resende and Barra Mansa. She praised local support, saying, “Para mim, é uma honra receber todo esse apoio e carinho no Sul Fluminense, uma região pela qual sempre estou batalhando por melhorias.” Rejane also referenced her recent inspection of the Hospital Regional Dra. Zilda Arns, criticizing outsourcing and reporting labor irregularities.

Later, the deputy met with the Fundação Oswaldo Aranha (FOA) and deputy Lilian Behring to discuss establishing a nursing residency programme and continuing education for nurses and technicians. She described the meeting as “potente,” noting that the initiative would “valoriza o profissional… e o atendimento da população de Volta Redonda e da região.” The proposals aim to strengthen the SUS and improve health services in the municipality and surrounding area.
