Enforcement Directorate intensifies CMRL-Exalogic probe with Kozhikode raids
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its investigation into the CMRL-Exalogic financial transaction case by conducting simultaneous searches at four locations in Kozhikode. These raids targeted the residences of Nandulal, a destination manager with the DTPC, and Nikhil, a DYFI leader, both of whom are reportedly associates of former Kerala Minister P. A. Mohammed Riyas.
Veena Vijayan, daughter of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has reportedly been questioned twice by the agency regarding the case. The investigation follows previous searches conducted at the residences of both Pinarayi Vijayan and P. A. Mohammed Riyas.
In response to the escalating probe, P. A. Mohammed Riyas dismissed the allegations against his wife, Veena T., as baseless. He asserted that her business activities are legitimate and accused the BJP-led Central government of using the Enforcement Directorate as a political instrument. Riyas characterized the raids on his associates as an attempt to create a smokescreen.
