Enforcement Directorate raids Srinagar in terror funding case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at four premises in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday. The raids are part of an investigation into alleged terror funding involving Umar Adil Dar, who is accused of acting as an overground worker (OGW) for the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The operation, carried out in coordination with police and security forces, aims to trace proceeds of crime, identify financial networks, and uncover funding channels linked to handlers across the border. Officials stated that Dar had previously served approximately four years in jail for alleged involvement in separatist and anti-India activities. The investigation follows a recent incident in Shopian where police reportedly busted a terror financing module and arrested 10 associates.
