Amandeep Kaur Arora: AAP MLA faces ED raids in Punjab
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted search operations at multiple locations linked to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora in Moga, Punjab. The raids, which included her residence and a de-addiction hospital, reportedly focused on allegations of land fraud and the misappropriation of public funds related to the acquisition of government properties for National Highway 754A.
Arora, who serves as the president of the AAP Punjab women’s wing, has denied all allegations of corruption. During a press conference, she claimed that the agency recovered no money during the prolonged searches and alleged that she was pressured to join the BJP in exchange for a ministerial position, an offer she rejected.
Political tensions have risen following the action, with AAP leaders accusing the central government of using investigative agencies to target opposition members ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. The ED has not yet released an official statement regarding the specific findings or the outcome of the investigation.
